In most countries, dog food products have labels which help us to work out what the food contains. Learning how to decipher the list of ingredients will give us a better idea of how good or bad the food is for our dog. On the top of the list is the main component, or the largest proportion. Then comes the second highest proportion and so on. So if something is near the bottom of the list, it means that there isn't as much of that ingredient as there is of one higher on the list. If you compare a cheap brand of dog food with a more expensive brand, certain things will stand out.
